In his address at the Haryana Legislative Assembly’s Budget Session, Governor Ashim Kumar Ghosh highlighted how the state government has transformed “red tape” into a welcoming “red carpet” to attract investors and boost economic growth. He credited strong policy clarity, infrastructure development, and reform-driven governance under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini for significantly improving the business environment and investor confidence in the state. The Governor noted that Haryana achieved the ‘Top Achiever’ status in the Business Reforms Action Plan with a high score of 99.5%, implemented hundreds of reforms, and recorded historic investment and export figures, helping spur employment opportunities and growth across sectors. He also pointed to simplified procedures such as automated approvals, reduced documentation, self-certification for clearances, and labour reforms that collectively made it easier to do business in Haryana. As a result, the state is emerging as a preferred destination for domestic and global investors, with major industrial projects underway and further plans to enhance infrastructure and economic inclusivity.
